Thank you for your interest in River City Pride!
The 40th Anniversary of the Pride Parade and Festival will take place October 6th and 7th. We are the largest and longest running Pride event in Northeast Florida, attracting attendees from all corners of Florida and Georgia, as well as becoming a destination for travelers from all over the country. Last year, the Pride Celebration drew more than 15,000 people from all walks of life to celebrate on the First Coast!
The mission of River City Pride is to produce a series of events throughout the year that fosters a sense of community, encourages LGBTQ citizens to live openly, promotes fellowship with our allies, opposes discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity or expression and provides financial and community support to LGBTQ-oriented non-profit organizations in the local area.
To make this possible, the River City Pride Committee, comprised entirely of dedicated volunteers, turns to the First Coast community for support. RCP is pleased to provide opportunities for both for-profit and non-profit organizations to reach out to the LGBT community at large through sponsorship.
The Parade travels through the popular Avondale and Riverside neighborhoods, meandering down residential streets lined with spectators, and ending in a celebration at the Historic Five Points commercial district. In recent years, the Five Points Merchants Association has sponsored a Block Party at the end of the Parade route, which provides entertainment for thousands of attendees well into the evening. The Festival is a full day of Pride located on the St. Johns River at Riverside Artist Square, affectionately known as RAM. Food trucks, artisans, non-profit vendors, and street performers provide a carnival atmosphere while the celebration continues into the evening with an outdoor bar and live entertainment.
We hope you will join us and become a sponsor of River City Pride’s 40th Anniversary Pride Celebration!
Thank you again for your time and consideration.
Yours in Unity,
Mike Nicholson, Sponsorship Director
